You can use Molly. It's a Signal fork and has a FOSS version without any Google code.

Aurora store is another option. You can download Aurora store on F-Droid if you want to give it a try.

If there is on fdroid it is not authentic, make sure to see if it comes from a trusted source as signal does not put it on f-droid themselves, possibly leaving the door open to scams!

It's not on F-droid. Also, pfffff as if i would use the Aurora store when i can use any other method

You do you. I don't use Signal so I'm not sure if using GitHub would mean you need to revisit the page and download a new APK whenever you want to update. Aurora could simplify that a bit.
