Relocate next to a reactor, plug in your 400GW GPU, and still get 30fps in flight simulator.

I love to think there's someone who paid a premium price to get a super fancy gpu and just plays sim city 2000 or roller coaster tycoon all day.

henfredemars@infosec.pub · 6 pts · 2y

But, I love RCT2.

My wife uses it for the Sims!

I dropped the money for a decent gaming laptop a few years ago. Mostly I play Stardew Valley.

For those of you who recognized the Transport Tycoon graphics, enjoy this magnificent recreation of the soundtrack with live instruments that the original composer put together several years ago.

You're gonna need a lot of coal routes to power 3 power plants.

I want to say SimCity 2000 but I don’t recognize that tile set.

MrWafflesNBacon@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 2y

I think it's OpenTTD

_cnt0@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 2y (8 replies)

(Open) Transport Tycoon Deluxe. Or OpenTTD for short.

Jumuta@sh.itjust.works · 0 pts · 2y (7 replies)

I think the TTD actually doesn't stand for anything

Often projects like this will have a name that suggests a relationship to a commercial product but officially does not use any trademarks.

_cnt0@sh.itjust.works · 0 pts · 2y (4 replies)

OpenTTD runs on the original assets of Transport Tycoon Deluxe ...

And they, notably, do not distribute them. Or do anything else to infringe on someone else's intellectual property.

_cnt0@sh.itjust.works · 0 pts · 2y

Omfg, don't act so dull. OpenTTD is an asset-compatible reimplementation of Transport Tycoon Deluxe. The string "Transport Tycoon Deluxe" is in the source code/resources, it is right on the top of the projects website:
