Is the federation just incomplete or is there a real problem? A few kbin "magazines" can be found in communities but not all. e.g. !RedditMigration@kbin.social is not available while !kbinMeta@kbin.social is.

Could you try pasting the full url into the search form while being logged in?

Pasting the URL into the search bar did it. Now I'm subsrcribed and I'm seeing comments from the community.

If any user has subscribed to that magazine, it gets federated. Similar thing has been explained in the FAQ.

Put the community into the search bar (! RedditMigration@kbin.social) and change the search type to communities.
