Where does the name come from?

Forgejo (pronounced /forˈd͡ʒe.jo/) is inspired by forĝejo, the Esperanto word for forge.

Oh yeah I forgot about the Esperanto inspiration!

They have a pronunciation guide in their FAQ on the website. There is no branding that would be obvious/intuitive to everyone

There is no better. Maybe they pick a name that's more intuitive for you, but it'd be less intuitive for someone else.

Do you believe that there can be no such thing as good or bad branding? Do you think that design work has no value?

don't think AP is suitable for a gh-like website, it's one of the cases where another protocol (or protocol extension) makes a lot of sense
