The US State department says they support a two state solution and then freaks out when people recognize Palestine as the second state.

Penguins continue to support genocide (any genocide).

I know you're just kidding around, but it does seem that Antartica is a far light shade of grey, probably should've included it in the legend though.

Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 2y

Yes, I noticed that. And, they didn't point out which colour are seas either - sometimes you have to assume common knowledge is known to common people. A bad assumption, just a necessary one.

This is the inverse of 'its always the same map'

m13@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Grey = cowards

giuseppe@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 2y

Yet another strike against Antarctica.

SloppyPuppy@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I wonder on which land they recognize this state.

clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works · 9 pts · 2y

Or which government. It's a nice symbolic gesture, though it doesn't seem to be benefiting Gazans at all!

MonkderDritte@feddit.de · 11 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Here's a map of who's under the thumb of US.

Beaver@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 2y

Ukraine and Cuba nod in agreement. Damn imperialists.

lud@lemm.ee · 8 pts · 2y

I have never understod why Palestine didn't automatically become a UN member at the same time Israel did.

Didn't the UN basically create both countries through the "two state 'solution'"?

mean_bean279@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Huh, you really don’t think of Cameroon and Eritrea as having their shit together.

swayevenly@lemm.ee · 6 pts · 2y

Given Eritrea's conflict with Ethiopia, you would think they'd understand the Palestinian's plight.

loputozirak@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 2y

congrats spain on recognising countries outside the peninsula, now it's time to recognise catalunya

Where were they fucking decades ago?

Oh, they were busy sucking israels dick while it openly committed crimes against humanity.

wahming@monyet.cc · 10 pts · 2y

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. Would you rather things stayed as they were?

Beaver@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 2y

Meanwhile here in Canada the conservatives and liberals are refusing to see the genocide for what it actually is. Down with BIBI.

We need proportional representation badly.

That rare moment when Russia is a good guy...

njm1314@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Considering they're in a large part behind this mess we're in right now, no no they're not.

Aux@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 2y

Oh, so it was Russia and not UK and US who created Israel, I see...

Has one popular opinion.

Suddenly a good guy.

Beaver@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

It’s sad you’re being downvoted for making a good point. I was laughed at when it was mentioned that the siberian railway was the longest electrified line that was done on such a low population density.

I’m down with taking out Russian leadership as the next girl but people need to see the morally-grey aspects to life.

Aux@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

Well, not here. Lemming mentality is strong :)

Gennadios@lemmy.world · -5 pts · 2y

They can have whatever the f** Russia and China is part of.
