Not even ad tiers are safe as Disney looks to coax people into bundle packages.

The path to sailing the 7 seas under the Jolly Roger is well marked

The price of my VPN hasn't gone up, not once in the last eight years lol

Lucky you, I've had to swap VPN providers on multiple occasions due to them dropping support for Port forwarding, which in turn breaks your ability to use it for torrenting

Are these people stupid? Their competition is literally free and improving all the time.

True

I think it really up to the individual

Once a service introduces a sub + ad tier it's over and obvious they are just as greedy as cable TV and racing down the same path. I can't support that. Mostly sticking to physical media these days but still have a couple streams that are sub only no ads or ads without any subscription.

My tier won't change so that's nice. But I see now that they've created new bundles since I changed my plan that don't force me to have ESPN, so if I don't just decide to cancel outright - I actually can save $5/mo.

Braflix, use an ad blocker though.

If you use an adapter at each end, each one with additional power requirements, how much extra power are we using for the sake of convenience?

I've used these and was pretty happy with them, but I've always wondered about this.

They are usually about 5W, so not much.

Coax as in to gently persuade. I'd say 25% hike is more like coercion though, maybe that's the point you're making here?

Thank you for being one of the few (apparently) capable of comprehensive reading, yes. "Coax" here is dishonest at best.
