Fedi is cool in concept but there are too many douchers in admin/mod positions around here. You can interact with more people on Reddit where the admins/mods suck, or you can interact with fewer people on Fedi where the admins/mods also suck. Can't win these days lmao.

As a small plus, the crazy ones you wouldn't want to hang around with will self-select and block you, like in this case, instead of banning from the whole site as would happen in Reddit.

There's also a really big issue with federation potentially opening users up to a host of deanonymization attacks by bad instances.

I also got banned from political memes for "racism" for posting that satirical meme with the USA presidents where several are labelled "protestant" and are unable to ban abortion until it gets to biden who's labelled "Catholic" and says something like "banned it in first term (or four years)"
I think the reason they labelled it as "racism" was because Obama was listed as "Muslim" or something, which is probably because it was a conspiracy theory. Even though that meme was clearly satire and parodying... I don't even know who, Catholic grannies? I didn't even notice that part though as I just skimmed it because it came to mind because of the discussion on hand
