... Oregon?

TootSweet@lemmy.world · 89 pts · 1y (3 replies)

This meme is 6 steps ahead of all of us.

We're playing tic-tac-toe and this meme is playing 4-dimensional strategema.

lugal@sopuli.xyz · 18 pts · 1y

I looked it up and Minnesota is no where near which makes me appreciate this Oregano meme even more

empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 1y (1 reply)

He became she. Burger became soda. Next thing you're gonna tell me is that hydrogen can turn into helium!

snooggums@midwest.social · 4 pts · 1y

It happens more often than you would think, due to social pressure.

After the civil war completes, Emperor Walz declares the entire nation will now be known as Minnesota in a show of unification to the rest of the world.

SilentObserver@lemm.ee · 8 pts · 1y

No, it’s spelled “Oregun” according to big lifted, pavement princess, diesel covered in decals that just rolled coal in front of me.

PenisDuckCuck9001@lemmynsfw.com · 7 pts · 1y

Oregon is like Minnesota but squished a little.

Korne127@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y

xD

Glifted@lemmy.world · 126 pts · 1y (22 replies)

This is great. It's like Shitpost-Prime. Half the comments are complaining about how it doesn't make sense.

No one has even noticed that

  • A "mini-burger" already has a name and it isn't "mini-burger"
  • The standard soda can shown is not a big soda
FilthyShrooms@lemmy.world · 29 pts · 1y (10 replies)

But thats Washington 😡😤

bizarroland@fedia.io · 18 pts · 1y (8 replies)

Washington is above the red spot. The red location is Oregon.

werefreeatlast@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 1y (1 reply)

No. You're all wrong. That's still my phone.

Noodle07@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

No, this is Patrick

lugal@sopuli.xyz · 9 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Wrong again. He was one of the first, if not the firstest, president of the United States. They even named the capital after him because he was a capitalist

mpa92643@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y

I don't know about firstest, but he was definitely firster. That's why they call him a founding father, not a founding fathest.

Crackhappy@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Perfide@reddthat.com · 18 pts · 1y (8 replies)

A "mini-burger" already has a name and it isn't "mini-burger"

I assume you mean sliders. The pic clearly does not show a slider, it shows the exact same burger as on the left but smaller. Way too much going on in that thing to be a slider, mini-burger is perfectly apt.

TachyonTele@lemm.ee · 20 pts · 1y (5 replies)

That's because sliders was a sci-fi show starring the kid from Stand by Me.

bizarroland@fedia.io · 10 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Gimli was in it too

nomous@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y (2 replies)

It was pretty good at first but when Gimli left it fell apart.

Rolando@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y

My favorite Gimli movie is "Spirited Away".

TachyonTele@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 1y

I had a crush on the girl. When she left it wasn't worth watching anymore.

Vespair@lemm.ee · 4 pts · 1y

I believe you mean Joe from the singing cockroach movie.

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 1y

No, a slider is someone who can travel from world to world where it's the same year, and they're the same person, but everything else is different.

postmateDumbass@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

MataVatnik@lemmy.world · 49 pts · 1y (17 replies)

Even if you're American it's still nonsensical

I thinks it's supposed to be Mini-soda -> Minnesota but the state shown is Oregon

soloner@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 1y

I think that's the part that makes it a shit post

Bronzie@sh.itjust.works · 10 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Yeah I was wondering why Minnesota was suddenly a coastal state (enourmous lakes excluded obviously)

postmateDumbass@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

EarthShipTechIntern@lemm.ee · 7 pts · 1y

In Oregon, the township is Milwaukie

It tastes almost as great as it's name.

The joke would have landed for me if you had chosen Wisconsin.

teamshinanagin@lemm.ee · 8 pts · 1y

JigglySackles@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1y (4 replies)

snooggums@midwest.social · 4 pts · 1y (1 reply)

So obvious, not sure why I didn't see it before!

bizarroland@fedia.io · 1 pts · 1y

It's because they made it up. No one has ever referred to Oregon as a small Minnesota before.

They are stretching the story to fit the truth.

postmateDumbass@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Better than DYED OF DYSENTARY.

dethedrus@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 1y

Probably a fine dye so long as you don't mind everything you own being that color. Not to mention the smell. And being dead of course.

Trainguyrom@reddthat.com · 1 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Real talk, I have the Oregon Trail video game board game and my wife and I were playing it for the first time and she said "you start first so I know what to do" so I flipped the first card and immediately died of a rattlesnake bite leaving her to play on her own

dethedrus@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 1y

I haven't really played the board game, as my wife and I usually get caught up in longer ones. But I do have childhood memories of killing many a brave group of pioneers with poor planning and too much bad meat.
