Not quite the same, but there's an episode of lower decks where someone gets Tuvix'd and then, in order to not be unTuvix'd, starts Tuvixing the rest of the crew.

Curzodo was effectively stealing Curzon from Jadzia and Dax and was in the wrong therefore we don't feel that bad for him.

Tuvix did nothing wrong to become who he was, it was just an accident.
