the new 2880 x 1920 just arrived and I'm not sure what to do with the old screen. I'm aware of plenty of software options I could use, but I don't know how to hook this old display up to something with a CPU (or what search for). advice?

Could you sell it to someone else? That feels like the best use for old framework parts. People won't feel bad about upgrading parts, and other people can build a machine they like for a smaller budget

I found this. Apparently an official marketplace is planned but not implemented yet.
I wonder if there are any good communities here for buying/selling/trading items

There is an official forum category at least:

@uthredii@programming.dev, what do you think about buy/sell/trade posts in this community? Would that be ok, or should people find a different place for that

I'm not really against it if there is a demand and people want to buy/sell/trade here. If buy/sell/trade gets too much we could restrict it to a sticky thread.
It might be easier for people to find buyers/sellers on the framework forum category that @narc0tic_bird@lemm.ee pointed out though.

You could buy a control board for it off eBay/Ali and use it as an external monitor, or a monitor for a Raspberry Pi.
