It's directing you to the kodi.log if that file is empty you have an issue outside of Kodi. It's usually quite verbose, maybe it can't write to the directory

I'm excited about having an impressive digital library with all the blurays/dvds I've bought and ripped over the years!

Btw not sure if you know this but you can add stubs to your library pointing to discs. When you try to play one of these stubs it'll direct you to insert the associated disc.

So far, I don't really have a need for Jellyfin. Kodi on it's own is enough. If you aren't using remote device to view your media then that's probably the case.
