Haven't used Boost for Lemmy (but have used Boost for Reddit), but this feature is a bit rare, I think? If this is a issue you think is worth addressing you could give Thunder or Photon (PWA) a try.
I mean...Antlers are shed naturally every year so I guess if someone decided to sacrifice some rando on a bed of my family's collective families nail clippings I would be pretty perturbed too.

When someone links a community like this, how can I... Join it?
If I click the link, it leaves the Lemmy app to go to my browser, and I can't really do much about that because my account isn't on ani.social.
This time I just went and searched for nokotan in communities and joined that, but... Surely that's not the way?
