As a non vegan person, this looks delicious. I’d throw some extra umami items in there. Probably some marmite (yeast) or dried mushrooms.

nice! i'll have to try that. i do love dried mushrooms! i know marmite is popular in the UK but i don't think i've actually tried it. what does it taste like?

Marmite is incredibly polarizing. As the popular series of ads say, you either love it or hate it. It's incredibly bitter and sour. I love it, personally, but my gf is absolutely revolted :)

ive heard it's excellent in vegan cooking though! i absolutely hate apple cider vinegar on its own and can't stand the smell but i can't deny that it does some magic in cooking. i wonder if marmite is the same way?

I've tried various pastries and stews (especially before I went vegetarian) that use marmite. It's got a very specific flavor, and a lot of people use it in all sorts of ways.
