A Salt Rifle

I have one of these and it worked great until salt caught some humidity and clogged up in there somewhere. I haven't been able to get it working again so far.

Put some isopropyl alcohol in the salt hopper and fire a few blanks through it. The company also sells salt with anti clumping agent in it. It's like $12, but it's like 3 years old and still not clumpy at all. Shoots great.

That's a good idea with the alcohol. Thank you friend.

You bet. I've bought a few of these things over the years and love em to death. The 2nd edition is a pita to take apart keep it angled slightly nose down when you put the alcohol in but that should fix your issue. Dunno which rifle you have.

Should be easy enough to locate blockage, just take a gander down the barrel (don't do this)

I don't even.

Well it's a salt rifle, not a salt assault rifle.

Sylvartas@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

Could even be a lever action. Or that's one big-ass trigger guard

They left the pot of salt in the picture because they know their audience
