What are you talking?

The forklift certification simulator is awesome!

Carvex@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 1y

I still have that splinter in my ass from last year's visit.

shalafi@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Given my interests and hobbies, I'd love the place!

MissJinx@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y

Thought the same! boy I could do so many half projects with this amount of pallets

JizzmasterD@lemmy.ca · 5 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Lots of different palates to cater to

thanks_shakey_snake@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y

And if you don't like one color, there's a wide palette to choose from.

Disagree...we Dutch have a tradition called Huttenbouw, we use pallets and such and build fortresses, castles and bases. After finishing building we overnight in sleeping bags. It is a part of summer vacation, childhood.

moonburster@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y (1 reply)

And the volunteers like it even more, quite often we do a bonfire after with a lot of wood that is not usable anymore

kindenough@kbin.earth · 3 pts · 1y

Sure thing moonburster, the bonfire was the perfect closure. Such fond memories of these summers. Kids, piece of wood...and pyromania.

My favorite ride is "Move this 2 story stack of pallets with a hand jack!"

Arbiter@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

My favorite ride is hand jack surfing.

x00z@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y (3 replies)

I love pallets.

  • They are cool
  • They are interesting
  • They look good
  • They can be used for a lot of stuff

Mad anti-palleters?

tetris11@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 1y (2 replies)

They get full of bugs quick if they're outside too long

x00z@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y (1 reply)
  • They offer housing to insects

Even better!

tetris11@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 1y

Heh

Bishma@discuss.tchncs.de · 6 pts · 1y

I'll bet that's the kind of place that has a popcorn cart popping away right next to the bulk nails... how late are they open?

X_DIAS@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

Missed chance to name it Pallet Town

PumpkinEscobar@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

If you go, definitely stay at Four Seasons Total Landscaping next door, best accommodations around and their convention spaces are great for any press conferences you might need to hastily put together.

gmtom@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Idk why but I can immediately tell this is the UK

ADTJ@feddit.uk · 1 pts · 1y

I think it's a combination of:

The style of the curb and pavement.

The warning signs on the fence.

The telegraph pole.

It's an English speaking place

The sky is grey

Buckshot@programming.dev · 1 pts · 1y

Haha I know what you mean. It's in St Helens unless there's more than one

SiEstUbiEst@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

palletland... PALLETLAND 🎵

Intrepidtron@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y

Just came here to make this same joke.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

sjpwarren@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

Not much for the Kiddies #sizzletown #podcast

shiftymccool@programming.dev · 2 pts · 1y

I was literally just thinking today, "I wonder where I could get some pallets..." I guess the universe has spoken
