So much for a midnight train to Georgia.

A certain artillery shell exchange might be in the way of that at the moment.

We have a saying in Spain that says that Europe starts in the Pyrenees.

Si no, quitas la magia al turista de norte de europa. Portugal y España son tan exóticos que solo puedes volar hasta ahí /s

Night trains are amazing. It's basically a mobile hotel room that's a little cramped, but spits you out in another country at 7:00am.

You may be woken by someone yelling something in Romanian at 2:00am when the train stops. And you may be woken for passport control at 3:00am, so try not to be naked when that happens. (Lessons learned)

Some snacks, a bottle of wine, and a good time. Night train!

The map doesn't go East enough, so how will I ever know if there's a Midnight Train to Georgia?

I wish the Scandinavian trains weren't so sought after. Or rather I wish they'd have more capacity, it's great that people want to use them!

really we just need more railways in general, many parts are literally just unable to squeeze in any more trains and yet barely anything new is being built.. In a sensible world we should have started building a high speed network between the capitals 10 years ago.

From my student years I even know the names of the 2 night trains between Bratislava and Košice - Zemplín (top route) and Poľana (bottom route). Sigh, sometimes I miss those travels

Are the night trains in Ukraine inspired by that Elf on a shelf thing?
