I'm a little surprised by the reaction to this idea (I assume downvotes mean people want the park instead).

There is a pretty nice park by the city hall just down the road that I assume attracts most of the visitors.

Having 220 more housing units right next to downtown means probably 400 or more people with walking distance to enjoy it. Seems like a win to me.

New housing developments are unpopular but ultimately it’s how you prevent homelessness and keep housing prices realistic.
