Add a false wall, have a secret room I can hide in.

Rent it for 2000$ monthly.

enbyecho@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 1y

That's a steal!

UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml · 7 pts · 1y

Great price, but not a basement. NEXT!

cornshark@lemmy.world · 44 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Harry Potter bedroom

sbv@sh.itjust.works · 10 pts · 1y

It's a fairly nice one.

rockSlayer@lemmy.world · 40 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Either an open closet or a reading nook, depending on how close it is to the front door

finitebanjo@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y

If it's directly adjacent the door then add some shelves and racks for shoes and jackets. Or a chair where you can wait for Uma Thurman to walk by while you hold a shotgun full of rocksalt.

qyron@sopuli.xyz · 39 pts · 1y

That is asking to be blocked by a custom book case, with a secret room behind it.

HertzDentalBar@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 34 pts · 1y

Clearly a space perfectly designed for a classic Star wars cockpit arcade unit.

fahfahfahfah@lemmy.billiam.net · 30 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Goon cave

fadhl3y@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1y

Mastabatorium?

Ste41th@lemmy.ml · 26 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Gaming area, or if you have a security system and smart home stuff I’d probably make it into a smart home centre with screens and controls for all the devices and security stuff

conartistpanda@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

So a security office? Hur hur hur

jabathekek@sopuli.xyz · 18 pts · 1y (4 replies)

that's where you keep the adopted children. stack them for efficiency.

someguy3@lemmy.ca · 9 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Harry Potter room.

jabathekek@sopuli.xyz · 6 pts · 1y (2 replies)

but without the magical whimsy. literally just Harry.

SkyezOpen@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

No, just Harry, yuo are a wizzard

jabathekek@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 1y

you must mean slizzard, as in alcoholism

Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Close it up and make it the masturbation chamber

gibmiser@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 1y (2 replies)

You mean a Masterbatorium.

MutilationWave@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

The cum cocoon.

WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

Only if it's private. I don't need my friends and family knowing how I treat my penis when I'm alone.

HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 12 pts · 1y (3 replies)

I'm using this as a place to go full-on feral

Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 9 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Isn't that what all the other rooms are for as well?

HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 8 pts · 1y (1 reply)

It's a smaller space with a lower ceiling--this quality is important to making a space to decompress

HertzDentalBar@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 6 pts · 1y

Sure when you want a lowering ceiling it's to decompress... When I want one, oh noes he's a super villain trying to crush people.

Aquila@sh.itjust.works · 11 pts · 1y

3 degrees of freedom simulator chair and screens

A_Union_of_Kobolds@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 1y (2 replies)

What is that pink thing on the wall??

can@sh.itjust.works · 22 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I was intrigued thinking it was some kind of hook but it's a fucking watermark:

Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 1y

Fucking hell! Even the name is bland and stereotypical to the point of parody or, even worse, tryhard ironic self-parody 🤦

Sparky@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 10 pts · 1y

Homelab

astrsk@fedia.io · 8 pts · 1y

Custom 360 racing booth. Or a carnival Photo Booth. Or maybe add a half-bathroom if there isn’t one on this floor.

2ugly2live@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

Craft storage. Can store a good amount of yarn and household tools in there from the looks of it. Add some cute lights and a little rug.

If you have cats, you could make it their "bathroom" depending on the location. Put up a curtain, put their box, maybe even the littler and what not, back there, close the curtain. Just make sure the curtain is nice.

MonkderVierte@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 1y (1 reply)

A bookshelf. 😈

ThePyroPython@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

Hidden reading nook with bookshelf and cozy vibes.

Hupf@feddit.org · 5 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Which form factor would that be?

lemmy_get_my_coat@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y (1 reply)

MegaSIM

mokus@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 1 pts · 1y

From the 1960s, it uses vacuum tubes and weighs 7 tons

pixelscript@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 1y (1 reply)

yuyuko deka fumo

Hoimo@ani.social · 6 pts · 1y

She may be a little too deka.

...we'll get rid of the stairs if we need to.

jaybone@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

I would install more random wall plates for no reason and fake electrical outlets.

SuperSpruce@lemmy.zip · 5 pts · 1y

Gaming battlestation, with room for some work stuff too.

MonkderVierte@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Secret hidden door.

normalexit@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

My first thought too. Throw in a few bookshelves, fill them up; waste of space becomes the coolest part of the house.

wieson@feddit.org · 4 pts · 1y

First you need some galvanised steel beams, a single bolt and 100 mattresses borrowed from your aunt.

Obi@sopuli.xyz · 3 pts · 1y

Ergonomic editing/workstation with screens wrapping on that sloped part and reclining chair under it, colour calibrated etc. Sound-wise this would suck and it would mean sacrificing having monitors for headphones but could work as a secondary home station if you have a larger space where you can bring collaborators etc at the studio for example and you use this at home.

noxypaws@pawb.social · 1 pts · 1y
