I think it can work on a very small scale, let's say a few hundred people. Once a population gets large enough that you aren't familiar with the majority of your "comrades" and where the administration is able to make furtive movements to benefit themselves, that's where corruption starts.
Capitalism "works" on a much larger scale, but over time the wealthy corrupt and influence regulatory bodies to the point where the system keeps poor people poor and concentrates wealth upward.
These systems both fail because they rely on human administration, and humans are by nature selfish and greedy.
Ukraine has banned all communist organizations, communist symbols, communist songs (including L'internationale), etc. Even if the KPU had been a complete puppet of the Kremlin, it would be irrelevant.
Leftist politics are banned in Ukraine, as per the Decommunization efforts after Euromaiden.
It's not surprising why a country struggling to stay free of Russian imperialism would ban parties associated with Russian imperialism. This is like acting surprised that Germany banned the Nazi party.
On this post? Because it appeared in All and I think leftists are fun to argue with for the same reason I argue with conservatives. I like occasionally reminding myself of how horseshit political thought is outside of social liberal circles

That's a very interesting claim! Could you add some citations so I can research this further? Do you know if all the other communist parties banned after the US-backed democratic revolution in 2014, as well as the dozen or so parties banned shortly after Russia began its unprovoked war of aggression against its democratic, sovereign neighbour are/were agents of the Kremlin as well?
