Some indoor plants work like the bottom panel. It's the ones who survive.

The outdoor plant has:

  • nutrient-rich soil as far as its roots go
  • frequent waterings in the form of rain but also stuff like dew
  • sunlight all day long as opposed to probably less than half a day
  • also it's probably used to the climate and not some tropical plant in the wrong climate because it looks pretty

All true, but more importantly in my opinion, that's the plant that survived. How many seeds and sprouts never became anything for that one to thrive.
