For how much effect armor has in most of the game's play, light roll is a far better choice. Well played, Chad-Dexter, well played.

Back in my day poise mattered 👴

Dying in three hits instead of two is a big advantage in both learning patterns and taking heals. Jus' saying

Kitathalla@lemy.lol · 6 pts · 1y

You're not wrong, but the extended roll is more likely going to make those three hits into two for a newer player anyway, and I'd say it usually turns 10 hits into 3, thus being a far better choice.

Variety is important to adapt to different situations. That's why I carry a Large Club and a Great Club.

Yhorme the giant is an interesting choice for hero music

Is this bad? I've never played Dark Souls.

Armour is only useful if you get hit.

Git gud, learn the boss pattern, and bonk mfers with big ass swords

I only play games where stealth archer builds are viable.

It's not bad, but it's sort of like min-maxing. You're a glass cannon.

aka the optimal build, once you get good.

So what would Maple from Bofuri be? The walking fortress?

The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

Just looked this character up, and I had a very similar looking build in DS3 once! So basically the same concept, but prioritizing a greatshield first.
