Dear DT and Baku,

I want to apologise for the abusive language I directed at Baku. I was inappropriate, and I regret the hurt I caused. I am sorry for contributing to your decision to delete your account, Baku.

To the DT, I apologise for disrupting the thread and creating unnecessary drama. I failed to maintain the respectful and civil atmosphere of this community, and I understand how my actions may have disappointed the group.

I have learned from this mistake and will be more mindful in the future.

Chilli patch update.

Starting to get some little baby habs now.

Also Winston the intruder:

Jumped the fence, wanted a pat, took a whizz in the garden and went home. He's a good boi.

SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 6 pts · 1y

Wiiiiiiinston!!! What a sweetie!

Taleya@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 1y (2 replies)

looking good! Sadly we're still potting, gotta finish the paving so I have the ground level for the food garden area and can start levelling and putting down wicking beds

Bottom_racer@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Looking forward to piccys when you're done (or even progress piccys) :) Sounds like a shitload of work you're doing.

Taleya@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 1y

And howww. Got the drainage done (trenches pics), smashed up the old collapsing pathway, dug it all down 20cm, now roadbase, then sand, then old path back as crazy paving, with a new grade that then means we can start putting the new level in what was a massive garden bed full of garbage, then wicking beds (so's we can use when old and creaky, plus better water usage) and the pergola, and the firepit and the bbq paving and the car hole and the shed and and and and and......

Usually Iโ€™m an out all day fiend, but I have ridden the loop up through Healesville, Marysville and Reefton and am back.

I didnโ€™t even leave that early. My poor earplugs have died and I am ded, but happy. My mate was right when they said nothing beats it.

Now to do some things in silence. RIP little hairs in ears, I am sorry.

I literally had this experience yesterday. It was trying to turn on to a shared zone and played chicken with me expecting me to let them through. Bitch I don't move for nobody. And take that ugly cyan wrap off that incendiary device you call a car.

I learnt today that Canada has a potato chip flavour called "All-Dressed". It's a super combo of "ketchup", BBQ, salt & vinegar and sour cream & onion. I'm literally frothing at the thought.

Isn't that also a bagel they do? Either way, I wanna try!!

just_kitten@aussie.zone · 9 pts · 1y (17 replies)

Made this with half a head of cauliflower to take to my friend's (and clear out my fridge a bit) according to this recipe - I gotta say came out quite nice and actually really easy to make. Did not end up mushy or too crunchy! Definitely gonna add this to the rotation

It was so nice going to a friend's place for dinner and bringing a plate, I haven't done that with a friend in so long.. Used to do it with my old circle of friends so I miss it being a frequent way of catching up. Much cheaper than eating out and more fun to cook for others (even with a shitty kitchen). I made a capsicum and shiitake mushroom stir fry to go with the cauliflower, took some of my pickled daikon and carrot and she had made a lovely seafood soup and grilled mackerel and rice. What a feast! ::: spoiler dins :::

and then after figuring out a little carpark app trick to getting 4h paid parking in a 2h spot in Carlton (parking really is harder now, RIP 4h and free spots), we headed into the city and I treated myself to an indulgent black sesame parfait ๐Ÿ˜‹ ::: spoiler dessert! :::

I guess I'm unlocking the firetruck tonight and I might have to donate the 8bitdo to them

Face was weeping all night from my little misadventures with ti tree oil. If only in my bleary eyed nighttime stupidity a couple of nights ago I hadn't applied it to everywhere I'm inclined to break out, so a decent patch of the left side of my mouth and all of my chin. Hoping it settles a bit today but I'm not holding my breath. Mr P is helping a mate who's helping to host a BBQ tomorrow (think free Australia Day country town bbq with local fire brigade, music etc.) and myself and the Minipeelers were going to go. Mr P made a couple of batches of white sauce especially to go with a thing they do there that's like a lobster mornay but with yabbie meat. He did it last year and they begged him to come back! They've been catching yabbies in earnest to go with it. I will have to go as white zinc faced Mark Zuckerberg at this rate ๐Ÿ˜•.
