My cunning plan to cast on a new pair of socks last night ran into a bit of trouble.
Still, luckily I don't mind a spot of untangling and if anything, finagling this will reduce my stress levels a bit tonight.
Plus then I get to look forward to actually casting on, yay! π

That is some really beautiful yarn. I love that untangling reduces your stress levels. I canβt look at this picture too long or I might have to lie down, lol.

@gina Almost all done, now! I think it's relaxing because it takes my mind off other things and puts my concentration onto something ultimately inconsequential.
Excited for the yarn though, it was hand dyed as a gift so been looking forward to using it!

I ran into a similar issue the other night when I was starting a headband, I ended up staying up until 1am to untagle the whole dang thing, but I just couldn't go to bed with that mess on my mind lol π
I used this Youtube video to turn it into a center pull ball and since then I've been doing the same to all my leftover yarn.

@kurobita Worst part is I literally have a swift and winder, but convinced myself it would be ok to do this one by hand to avoid making noise while watching TV π

@thegiddystitcher @knitting For whatever reason, I find detangling yarn to be *very* relaxing but ymmv
