An unfortunate portion of the population literally thinks this. If I had a dollar for every person making the claim of "I got beat when I was a kid and I turned out fine" while clearly exhibiting maladaptive coping strategies, addiction, or other symptoms of childhood abuse, well, I wouldn't be a billionaire but my mortgage would probably be paid off.

This dipshit would probably quote Proverbs 13:24 (“spare the rod”) without knowing many of the other proverbs surrounding it.

If you made $400k per working day between now and Christ’s birth, you’d still be poorer than Bezos. This is absurd—none of these people believe this shit.
