I'm going to start dressing up like a dog. And you'll know it's just a middle aged guy. Standing in a dog costume. Outside your window. For no reason.

You'll know all of that is true. But I'm still going to stand there. Still going to distract you. And eventually you're going to come over and question me. That's when I'm going to jump on top of you, and start licking your face, and humping your leg.

You'll be disgusted. You'll try to file a police report. You'll be insistent that this guy just won't leave you alone. But everyone else except you will not see a man in a dog costume. They'll see a dog. They'll wonder why you're being an asshole to this friendly dog. Then your girlfriend will be like "What is WRONG with you??? I'm going to bring the dog to my apartment for the night. I don't think he should be around you right now...."

And that's when I turn to you, and say "Yeah man. I'm going home with your girl. Gonna sleep in her bed while you're away. Hump a little leg, if ya know what I'm saying!!! Ha ha ha!"

You'll point and say "SEE?? DID ANY OF YOU HEAR THAT??? HE'S TRYING TO STEAL YOU FROM ME!!!" and your girl will be like "What's gotten into you??? I think it may be time for therapy...."

It's at that moment you look and see a small frog on the grass. And you say "Oh, and I'm sure YOU are going to start singing and dancing now????" to which the frog replies ".......what?"

That's weird. I'm the opposite. I HAVE to be doing 20 things, or my brain shuts off, and I put a shoe in the oven.

I can remember in the year 2000, I was online playing Ultima Online, with a second monitor open for internet browsing, and talking on AIM, while at the same time a TV was on and I was watching the Cleveland Indians take on the Chicago White Sox. While in picture in picture, I had WWF Monday Night Raw on.

Bottom of the 3rd, 2 outs, Jim Thome coming to the plate. He's been slightly off this year, NICE! I just found more iron ore in the mines, and HHH just gave Mick Foley a pedigree, Oh, my friend says there's some raiders in Minoc trying to kill miners for their ore. And according to this post on nintendopower.com's online forums, this guy says the face of Donkey Kong is etched into the side of a mountain in Goldeneye! Well, Rare DID make both games....could be an easter egg.......see? Thome pop fly'd out. Unbelievable! Also, why does WWF and MLB both go to commercial at the same time? I could be flipping the pictures while the other is at commercial, but NOOOOO!!!! Now I have Llama on my way to Britainia. BANK!

And that's how my brain is going at all times. half a second focus here, half a second focus there, and then it blends. Both focuses at the same time. And the more focus's I have, the faster it goes. Pretty sure I could ride a unicycle while juggling buckets of water, and pluggged in toasters. Despite never having juggled, and never having rode a unicycle. It would just be the thing I'm currently doing as I do the other things.

But then if I ever try to focus on just one thing? Ok......let's just tie our shoes...........uhhhhhh...........what were we doing, and why is the house on fire?

Well the reason that is big, is that regardless of the OS, whether it's windows, MacOS, or Linux, the concept of a desktop experience itself is shrinking.

Most people today that use desktops do so at work only. Meaning they don't control if it's Windows 11, Windows 10, Linux, or some company made propriatary OS (which, is most likely a form of linux). Doesn't matter. They come into work, use a computer that isn't theirs, to use an OS they have no say in.

With France using Linux, those people who don't know how to use a windows PC, will now be the people who don't know how to use a linux PC. But, like all things, they'll learn SOMETHING from it.

The major reason that Windows thrives is because businesses use it. When businesses use it, the employees use it. When the employees use it, they learn SOME things from it.

So when it comes time for them to buy a PC, they'll be firmiliar with linux, and windows becomes the foreign thing they've never used.

Thats the glass ceiling. People buy windows because they know windows. And they know windows because their school/job taught them windows.

But if their school/job teaches them linux instead, then that's what they'll know when they bring a PC home.

It's not a huge deal in itself. It becomes a huge deal when you consider the snowball effect.

Uhhhhhh, I wouldn't classify Hiroshima and Nagasake as "Disasters in American history".

I'd say they are "Disasters in Japanese history".

If you're of a certain age, you'd STILL have to save the world.

Imagine you go back in time, to the year your born. You can't even speak yet, but you know 9/11 is coming.

If you try to warn others, they won't believe you. But after it happens, they'd blame you. You're the guy who knew 4 planes would be hijacked on one random tuesday.

Because thats what 9/11 was before the planes hit. Just another random tuesday. Very calm. Nice pleasant weather. If you watch what the today show host says at 8am, he says "It's Tuesday morning, the sun is shining, and it's a nice quiet morning. Maybe a bit too quiet."

Oh believe me. That's about to dramatically change!

But how would you know that on Sept 9th 2001?

So now you have a choice. Let thousands die on the day, and hundreds of thousands develop conditions related to the attacks. Ranging anywhere from mild, to lethal. Everything from a persistant cough, to aggressive cancer.

But in choosing to save them, you most certainly go to max security federal prison.

Or, you can pretend to be shocked when 9/11 happens. Knowing you let hundreds of thousands suffer.

Your choice.

Here's the truth of the matter. As a server, Linux runs the show. As a desktop, Linux is basically little league.

There is some growth, but it's not people getting fed up with microsoft. The real growth comes from Valve.

Despite it's apperance, SteamOS is considered a linux desktop, and it's driving growth on linux. I don't think it's up to 10%, considering 2 years ago it was at an all time high of 4%. But I can believe it's at 6%. And even that would be considered tremendous growth. 4% in 30 years, but 2% more in 2 more years? That's huge.

I keep seeing the same story about linux. People are gaming on steamos, or bazzite, and they have to keep a windows installation on the other partition because select games have anti-cheat that 100% does not work on linux.

But here's the better news. Console games are dying.

Should we double check, and make sure he knows what Pearl Harbor was? And Hiroshima, and Nagasaki? And the Holocaust?

What? It's not unreasonable to say he may have missed some key moments in history.

I don't agree. Consent isn't a kink. It's a baseline bare minimum.

Without it, anything you do IS rape.

Kinky sex does require communication. From there you can go anywhere you both want.

But even standard vanilla no frills sex ALSO requires consent.
