"Democrats are asleep at the wheel"

Cause they want them to reject the leftward momentum. But by giving it attention, they increase the likelihood it happens, instead. It's like MAGA, but no one in the establishment wants it this time. Well, until the boots hit the ground, anyways.

And the Republican party is rage-drunk at the wheel?

the democratic party is not asleep at the wheel. They are doing exactly what they want to be doing, and what they always do. Protecting their access to funds, even if it means selling out the voters completely. And when they do that, what is the point of the DNCs existence?
