Is anyone else mentally younger than they are physically?

ADHD, I feel like I stopped aging mentally after freshman year.

I hear people without ADHD say this. I didn't every associate thus with ADHD.

That makes sense, I just happen to have ADHD.

Same and same.

I certainly feel younger than my body. I always lagged behind socially, and it became a larger and larger gap as I got older. Ironically I'm incredibly skilled at getting ahead in my professional life, but in my personal life all of my friends are ~10 years younger than me and I vibe with their energy and mindset.

I gather most people don't imagine themselves internally to be an old person. Lots of old folks say this

I remember my dad talking about conversations he had with my grandma saying she felt like she was still young.

Due to my job I end up working working with kids half my age and I still don't feel like an adult.

I don't think anyone ever truly feels like they've grown up and we're all just pretending.
