For ages I've had my task bar on the side of my secondary monitor. When I first had to start using win 11 at work and I found out they had disabled the ability to move it I got so irrationally angry lol. It was the straw that broke the camels back and I went home and started down the linux rabbit hole fueled by sheer spite.

Double Fine is hosting a game jam, an event where developers rapidly create a small game prototype. Backers get to vote on the 4 concepts they find the most interesting and those will be developed further into actual games.

Concurrently there will be a documentary crew there filming everything.

It really is a double standard. A woman can sleep with a few guys and get labeled easy/slut/whore/etc. But if I do it they call me gay.

Super fun to think one could end up softlocked out of their computer because they didnt pay their windows bill that month.

"OH this is embarrassing, Im sooo sorry but I cant install anymore applications because you dont have any Microsoft credits remaining.

You may continue with this action if you watch this 30 minute ad."

That rage was why I switched lol. All our work computers are on 11 and they frequently reset so almost every time I log in I get to freshly rage and spend a minute resetting the task bar and default adobe to the pdf reader.

No Microsoft! I cant use edge as a pdf editor why on earth would you think that.

AND WHY CANT I MOVE THE TASKBAR

Ive been wanting to try out rust desk for a few weeks now but im not currently in a position where I can test it out.

I saw it uses a public relay server and they have a subscription model to self host, and I'm not particularly interested in either of those options. Are you able to self host a server for free if youre just connecting to a single computer?
