How the Saddam Hussein figure remained in the world’s collective consciousness for over 20 years is nothing short of amazing to me.

The US making a big deal out of him, and then broadcasting when they killed him was big.

He's tied closely (even post-mortem) to the US military-industrial complex and the questionable yet not completely discountable propaganda about him.

Southpark put him in a Popular TV show in their heyday and put him in movies.

This network is going to be incomprehensible to future archeologists.

Studying the 21st century will require being able to decipher memes, just like you need to know hieroglyphs to study ancient Egypt.
