I thought the book was just getting cartoonishly mad at him for a petty disagreement bc it was drunk, then I realized saying a movie is better than a book to a sentient book is probably akin to a racial slur for them and the whole comic made a lot more sense

The fight club movie was also better than the book in a lot of ways. The ending for sure.
