Whenever I see someone feeling the music in their car I just say “Damn that person is gettin’ it!” Life is short, friends. Feel the music

cRazi_man@lemm.ee · 49 pts · 1y (2 replies)

If you're not car singing, then you're missing out.

TexasDrunk@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 1y (1 reply)

If we don't sing in the car there's the same amount of driving but a whole lot less singing.

cRazi_man@lemm.ee · 7 pts · 1y

...and what's even the point of that then?

The trick is to realize no one cares. Just enjoy your music!!

Gullible@sh.itjust.works · 49 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I care. When I see someone jamming out, I smile. There’s too little harmless joy in the world to hide even a smidgeon of it behind shame.

Flummoxed@lemmy.today · 19 pts · 1y

I completely agree and have been known to thumbs up people who catch me enjoying their jam. I meant to be encouraging because this is an indescribably sad world and anything one can do to make it better for even a moment should be treasured.

The trick is to not care if anyone else cares.

Gutek8134@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I wonder if people would care if someone started metal screaming to their favorite song, because this can get really loud /srs

Flummoxed@lemmy.today · 5 pts · 1y

I have actually seen this and been concerned at first because I thought they were fighting, but then was just happy they were enjoying themselves.

I feel like when I'm in my car, I have complete privacy. Sometimes when I'm picking my nose at a red light, doubts creep in but I quash them.

ininewcrow@lemmy.ca · 29 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Your doubts or your boogers?

criitz@reddthat.com · 17 pts · 1y

Yes

Honytawk@lemmy.zip · 8 pts · 1y

No they quash them

ivanafterall@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Quash, then flick. It's God's problem now.

neatobuilds@lemmy.today · 7 pts · 1y

The trick is to fling them into the nose of the driver of the car next to you

bobotron@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 1y

Give those boogs no quarter

crawancon@lemm.ee · 32 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Being in the car is the only place I feel I can sing like that. As long as the windows are rolled up. For some reason I treat the inside of the car like I'm low key invisible.

ChapulinColorado@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

Many people do. You can tell by the amount of people picking their nose very vigorously at traffic lights. P.s.: dash cams are getting better at picking details… be careful out there 🙃

gift_of_gab@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Why did you leave the keys upon the table?

SmackemWittadic@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

A cover of the song that really accentuates those words in the same manner is the one by Richard Cheese

gift_of_gab@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

I was definitely not thinking of that very specific cover when I wrote that.

.... ;)

HexesofVexes@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

The other car is usually cheering - they just got to hear their favourite song too.

Sho@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y

Nah, you crank it louder and rock on. You will never see those ppl again. 🤘
