Disclaimer: I don't follow the sport quite as hard as I used to. That said, I don't remember any numbered event where I didn't know either of the main event fighters.
If I remember correctly, UFC was working on Izzy vs DDP, but DDP is unable to fight. Izzy called out Strickland, but UFC either wasn’t interested or hasn’t been able to make a deal.

If Izzy is to be believed, this is due to Strickland asking for too much money for that fight.
