Gene Hackman, Actor from the 70s generation. RiP

Sad day for me. #GeneHackman (Gene Hackman) #RiP The movie 'The Sting' is being heavily promoted, which was fantastic, however I'll best remember him in 'The Conversation' https://trakt.tv/movies/the-conversation-1974

The 70's? How dare you, that man was a legend for decades. Some of my favorites,

The Royal Tenenbaums, 2001

The Birdcage, 1996

Get Shorty, 1995

Crimson Tide, 1995

The Quick and the Dead, 1995

Unforgiven, 1992

Mississippi Burning, 1988

Hoosiers, 1986

It goes on but I got work to do. Take time to watch some of them, the man is a legend.

God, I hate "RIP". Take something already performative and divorced of meaning, and turn it into a tacky acronym, a verbal tic to be belched into comment threads, standing in for an emotional expression of respect and recognition, but doing the exact opposite of that.
