Any split keyboard owners here? They seem to be terribly expensive with very few choices. What's worth pruchasing for portability and quality? I currently own a Delux 920 Pro but that thing is bulky to travel with.
EDIT-06April2025: I bought a second Mistel MD770. AMA related to the keyboard.

You can save on the cost if you want to diy and 3d print it, solder it, yourself. Split keyboards are very niche to start with, so will always have a premium price.

I don't own a 3d printer. I was hoping to find something similar to a C989m keyboard but I can do without the numpad and use a separate one instead.

I built one for my wife a few years ago. It sounds and feels amazing (as is the case with most Owlabs keyboards) but I could never get comfortable with it because I'm a two-finger typist.
Weikav would later release a ripoff of it for 4.5k called Record. Hindi ko pa natry pero may mga Weikav na ako binuo before for my sisters who wanted a decent cheap keeb and okay naman.
