Canada reconsidering F-35 purchase

Major maintenance, overhaul and software upgrades on the F-35 happen in the United States.

Make up the money we already paid in some other fee, like a 200% tax on electricity exported from Ontario, and then buy European jets.

The Saab value proposition is so much higher it's insane.

Relying on sending our planes to the US for major maintenance and software updates should have always been a deal breaker.

Buying expensive (and compromised) military hardware from the country that is literally threatening war on us is, to put it mildly, beyond stupid.

I hope the US military industrial complex appreciates just how badly Trump has screwed them. No country that truly respects their own sovereignty will purchase American weapons again.

Dump the compromised hardware!

Cancel the order, buy a European jet and have them built here.
