I've lost track of how many times I've nearly pissed myself because an enemy NPC crept up behind me and put a round in the back of my head while I was busy doing something else. I'm not sure which of the STALKER games has the best AI but it can get really clever. I've never played another game that has enemies that can spot you from a distance, recognise that you are an enemy and that you haven't spotted them back, and then sneak up to you to assassinate you stealthily. You might've never even known they were there in the level with you until you're staring at the game over screen.

A bare minimum 15 minutes on Wikipedia looking up the atrocities and hardship the USA has inflicted against other nations should make it very clear that Americans don't want what is best for their neighbours. They don't give a single shit what their federal government does on the world stage so long as they have their comfy suburban homes with cheap goods, gasoline, and guns.

The fact a convicted felon and rapist was elected as president twice is not at all a surprise. If you feel upset or defensive after hearing this then I don't know what to tell you other than "Tough shit, deal with it." The American people need to take some shred of responsibility for what they have done and continue to do.

No. No you don't.

Even before Trump, US exceptionalism, imperialism, and hostility ran rampant. Trump is not the focal point of the problem but rather a symptom of a much larger disease that has been going unchecked for decades. Americans love to pat themselves on the back while they say how much they disagree with whatever their federal government is doing but never have nor never will do anything to actually prevent their government from spreading suffering on the global stage.

Now that illness has really taken root and the country has shit itself and, for the first time in a long time, the American people have to sit in the mess. The global community is collectively packing up its bags and moving on while the US sits in a pile of filth and screams "This isn't us!". No, it's always been you. You just now have to actually face some consequence.

Yesn't.

It very much is a distraction and Trump uses these threats to draw eyes away from other things he doesn't want the world looking at.

But they are still very serious threats to make and they normalise this behaviour. We cannot forget that the Trump admin has attacked other nations after making threats like this (Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, etc) and slashed trade relations with many others.

One thing that really annoys me is when people turn on their signals as they turn, as if it matters at that point.

They're meant for indicating that you're about to turn or change lanes, not for notifying other drivers that you're doing something that they can already see you doing. I've ridden as a passenger with numerous drivers that have gotten angry at other drivers for "not letting them in" and yet they never turned on their indicators to show that they even wanted in in the first place.

That's not a Lemmy problem, that's a you problem. It's not hard interacting with other people without sweeping insults.
