Lewis is familiarizing himself with Ferrari strategies - "big opportunity missed there.."
MrDrProfJimmy@lemm.ee · 17 pts · 1y
I swear the more chaotic a race gets, the more powerful Stroll becomes.
espentan@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 1y
He himself is chaos and so he's in perfect harmony with his surroundings.
Microw@lemm.ee · 17 pts · 1y
Noooo Oscar
TentinQuarantino@feddit.org · 6 pts · 1y
Such a pity :/
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 1y
Lawson crash. Bortoletto out. Antonelli and Bearman are the only rookies left.
espentan@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1y
Surprised this Alonso fella hung in there for so long - not easy being a rookie in conditions like these.
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 1y
Really nice to see Anthony Hamilton console Hadjar. Sweet gesture.
An unfortunate incident, but he'll learn.
frank@sopuli.xyz · 4 pts · 1y
Anthony Hamilton is a 5 star human being
Microw@lemm.ee · 15 pts · 1y
That shot of the two McLarens sliding left and right while Max just drives through on the road lol
Microw@lemm.ee · 14 pts · 1y
Is it time for the rookies to crash again?
espentan@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y
Yes, it was!
Microw@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 1y
I admit, I did write this after I saw Bortoleto and Lawson crash and not before
Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de · 3 pts · 1y
Disappointed

Alonso crashes. Another rookie out..

The "under investigation" exclamation points next to the driver times are back! β
Microw@lemm.ee · 10 pts · 1y
Andrea and Nico trading places over and over again lol
TentinQuarantino@feddit.org · 4 pts · 1y
Itβs the Hulk overtaking boot camp
Microw@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 1y
Well he immediately made use of his training by overtaking Stroll
TentinQuarantino@feddit.org · 3 pts · 1y
He learn fast ππ»
Microw@lemm.ee · 10 pts · 1y

Doohan π
Rookie massacre out there.
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y
Sainz too omg????
espentan@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 1y
This might get a bit spicy. Probably not the conditions the rookies dreamt of, for their debut race.
wes@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 1y
Poor Hadjar
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y
Omg
There goes VCARB's celebrations about him having the best quali out of all the rookies.
listener17@sh.itjust.works · 7 pts · 1y
I knew it was going to be brutal for the rookies, but man that sucks for Hadjar. I doubt it'll be the last rookie crashing out.
Microw@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 1y
Sainz counts as a rookie now?
GoatTnder@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y
Justice for Logan Sargeant!

Press the button Hamilton...
_ed@sopuli.xyz · 7 pts · 1y
If the rain hadn't hit the track it could have worked out for ferrari - to be fair Lewis was on the bad end of some bad Merc calls last season so hes probably used to it.
Looks like Ferrari and Redbull have a bit of catup to do. Antonelli did well.
_ed@sopuli.xyz · 3 pts · 1y
Lewis getting lots of unwanted info from the pitwall was gold. I didn't get a sense of how the Mercs were doing. Will get to see if they are as mercurial as last year I guess.
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y
Kinda miss Will Buxton for the grid walk.
wes@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y
Glad Coulthard is still around for commentary
hsr@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 1y
Another rookie out π
Microw@lemm.ee · 6 pts · 1y
Verstappen didn't box to be opposite to Norris
Microw@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 1y
Fernando, the chad he is, taking his hands off the wheel when crashing.
So many drivers don't do that, and we saw with Ricciardo how it can end..
GreenEngineering3475@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y
Microw@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 1y
Yes I know that, his case was special, but in other cases not taking your hands off can easily end with broken fingers like Ricciardo
hsr@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 1y
Charles LMAO
Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de · 5 pts · 1y
Wow that was exciting at the end
TentinQuarantino@feddit.org · 5 pts · 1y
DRS enabled!? Wow! Now Iβm curious with only one somehow usable driving line
Microw@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 1y
Loud applause from the Aussies here as well for Oscar's move
Microw@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 1y
Actual rain again? Gonna be wild

DRAMA π±
Microw@lemm.ee · 4 pts · 1y
"Hold position until you clear the backmarkers" is actually a fair demand imo
TentinQuarantino@feddit.org · 4 pts · 1y
What an interesting sprint race we get at the end!
TentinQuarantino@feddit.org · 4 pts · 1y
Ooof! Alonso is out
Microw@lemm.ee · 4 pts · 1y
Since I'm out of the country, I'm stuck with watching Sky. Their obsession with Hamilton is truely fascinating
TentinQuarantino@feddit.org · 3 pts · 1y
Place your bets: who will be out next on dry tyres on a semi-dry track?
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y
That top-down drone (?) shot of the kerb is π₯π₯π₯
Microw@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 1y
I wonder how Ocon's feeling racing against all the rookies there, now that Hulk is in front of that whole pack
Microw@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 1y
Oh no Yuki and Alonso have what I call a "Perez investigation"
