Iron Man's Death Will Connect to Robert Downey Jr.'s Doom In Avengers: Doomsday

The whole thing will have to be extremely well done to pull off that connection. Tony Stark's death was a perfect ending for the character and exit for RDJ...the thought occurs don't fuck with it. Very high stakes imo.

That said I still hope they found a way.

The two quotes strongly suggest what we've all speculated, Doom is a Tony Stark variant and Secret Wars will be a soft reboot/kickoff something new aka mutants.

So Doom won't even exist and it's just another villain doing Weekend at Tony's.
