I'm out of the loop, can someone explain lol
Sunshine@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y
It's just that Lemmy.ml and Lemmy.world are not everybody's cups of tea.
AlolanVulpix@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y
Proportional representation is my cup of tea!
(sorry, but I had to!)
Sunshine@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y
Yup, the pr tea box has lots of great flavours β€οΈ

We have so many choices. This makes no sense to me.
Sunshine@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y
The is a what if scenario. No one should be stuck with 2 choices when more can be had.
some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org · 2 pts · 1y
Gotcha. Thanks!

But there are a lot more than two choices. If we went with instant runoff people would feel more comfortable voting for them.
Sunshine@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y
No, instant run-off reinforces the 2 party system even more so. You should support the single transferable vote instead as that is ranked and proportional.

I ended up blocking them both because lemmy.ml is full of tankies and lemmy.world is America centric despite the name.
Sunshine@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 1y
Good choice, I have done the same recently.
jabathekek@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 1y
If you look reeealll close you can almost make it a tiny break in the clouds in .world... or maybe that's just bias. Who knows.
Sunshine@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y
I really do prefer Sopuli.xyz tbh.
jabathekek@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 1y
It does have the best logo.

I know that Lemmy has 600 instances, thatβs missing the point of the meme.

lemmy.ca represent!
JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee · 0 pts · 1y
But lemm.ee and many others exist... - such as lemmy.ca
Sunshine@lemmy.ca · 5 pts · 1y
It's an analogy that everyone would understand on Lemmy π
JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 1y
Apologies, I thought you were implying that lemmy.world and lemmy.ml were the only two options.
Sunshine@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y
All good, I really appreciate the hard work the smaller instance admins do!
