In German language an "s" followed by a vowel is pronounced as /z/. The official German way of writing Zelenskyj's name is indeed Wolodymyr Selenskyj.
Otherwise, no idea what the deleted comment was saying. Germany's leftists have a very pro-Russian (and thereby pro-fascist, which is weird!) subculture, so I have my guesses, though.
Also, some are children of people who were indoctrinated to think that Soviet Union is/was a friend and only ever wanted peace and nothing more.
The bad things the Russia is doing now are a continuation of what it has been doing for a century. Accepting that they are in the wrong now would require accepting that they've done bad things before. That's a lot of work, so the mind protects itself from all that thinking.
