Is it, though? Nothing i feed my chickens is from China. My chickens are free-range and eat well. They qualify as organic eggs. I give away (or occasionally sell very cheap) much of my surplus because I'm a Christian, and that's how I was raised. I love blessing folks. I'm giving away several dozen per week.
Many small scale solutions do not scale up smoothly to the societal/industrial level. If you are feeding mass amounts of chickens raised in buildings using grain, you need to add additional vitamins, they are critical.

China also dominates in many other food security areas:
Vitamins B1, B3, B7, B12, D3, K, plus multiple amino acids.

I'm an aethiest and do the same thing, so it seems doing the devent thing has nothing to do with religion... but that methodology also does't scale.
