i still remember Stephen Fry's interview with Bolsonaro 1.0 when he was in Congress. Fry is walking down the street after the interview and opines, "I think that is the most evil man I have ever met"

i wonder what he thought when Bolsonaro was later elected Pres.

Once common across southern Australia, they are now only in small pockets of Western Australia.

mostly cats and foxes :( (both introduced pests)

Fenced reintroduction projects

eventually always fail and then cats and foxes have a Numbat smorgasbord

there's also Malcom Roberts, gets in a debate with Professor Brian Cox denying climate change in Q& A. first elected with 12 votes I think it was.

i have a BYD in Aus and have had it since February last year, I give zero shits about Chinese spyware, I'm worried about the Australian government, or one of the 5 eyes spying on me, they want to do my harm.

Having user connect is good: OTA software updates, can turn charging off and on remotely, can preheat the car and turn the seat heaters on 10 mins before you leave (good in Tassie winters) can check the SOC remotely etc.

You can grab Toyota, Cupra or VW ecar, they have no connected services in Aus. but the main gripes on forums is they have no connected services eg software updates (notified by email etc ) need you to go in to the dealer and an can take all day (i. e when they get to it)

good or better then google maps, no, they're are a trillion $ company with major resoirces

I use OSMAnd+ its a little bit shit but ot gets me by. I also edit a little bit of Open Street maps in my area to help

Am Australia, m, had this fear at age 20 in my first full time job, naively did all I could to plan to retire at 30, didn't pull that off.

However went part time at 35 and retired to a cheap, small off-grid cottage in the bush with a like minded f at 40, and am now 59 (no welfare, inheritance etc) i just did not want to work until i died. Climate change arrived , northern NSW became a burning wreck and was getting hotter and hotter and we've now moved as far south in Australia as you can, to Tasmania.

Any one starting work today is likely to see the collapse of civilisation from climate change, so there is that.

i use a Moto Fold 50u for that reason, I can do a fair bit of stuff on the external screen (reply to Signal messages, read emails etc) and then fold it out for more

caveat: it's a Moto with Android, i don't know if future Moto flips will have graphene support, or it's just their future signature series.
