The military is not a monolith. They are Americans, and other Americans are their family. If ordered to act against American citizens, how many will refuse? How many will obey?

It's pretty regularly beat into you that you support the constitution and routinely goes over that you can and should disobey illegal orders and trains on how to identify illegal orders in boot camp and beyond on a regular basis

There's absolutely no reason to say shit like that when there's been 0 occurrences or evidence of that happening, other than to spread FUD
