To spoon, ice cream is just hard soup.

hansolo@lemm.ee · 12 pts · 1y (5 replies)

Vanilla ice cream is just melted creme anglaise. Which is vanilla egg desert soup.

Egg in ice cream? What the fuck

hansolo@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Well, if you take "custard" seriously, egg yolk is part of that. Obviously ice cream doesn't include it, but there are frozen custard places that include pasteurized egg yolk.

Is this an American thing?

hansolo@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Custard is a European thing, but plenty of examples of custards in Asia and the Americas.

Frozen custard is a a Midwest American thing.

Yeah we have custard but that's a completely different thing to ice cream...

Custard goes on cakes

Isn’t it?

Bubbaonthebeach@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 1y

Hopefully it is dessert soup otherwise it might be a bit on the sandy side.

When my gf spoons me it also makes something go up (my mood) so you must be onto something

huppakee@lemm.ee · 17 pts · 1y

I always thought it was the water freaking out, but this clarifies things.

Yes. But, we are conscious beings and we can choose our spoonness.

Are you trying to accomplish something? Some work you need to do? Be like spoon. You have one purpose---to accomplish that objective.

Choose to be like spoon, and have a blessed day.

Ah, that explains my work ethic - there is no spoon!

jia_tan@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 1y

I wish someone would spoon me

GeeDubHayduke@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 1y

Heresy! Forget spoon! Spoon is weak and passive! Be like fork! Stab problem repeatedly!

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

My spoon has multiple purposes. It is very fancy. It is for display. It is beautiful. It is for aphrodisia. It is for foreplay. It is large. It is for home defense. It is too big. I honestly don't think I've ever eaten from my favorite spoon.

Yep, that makes sense to me.

In emergency, spoon is also drumstick.

This seems odd, but I'm no spoonologist cochleologist*, so who am I to argue?

(*ligulist or trullologist also work)
