I was ready to give this guy crap or accuse him of insurance fraud, but all the effort the criminals did to get it back on the market is insane. I'd think I was losing my marbles in that situation.

Was watching a series on TSA catching smugglers. One piece was on them finding a bunch of VIN plaques being mailed from Mexico to New York and it immediately popped in my head: what if they're coming to the US, buying those wrecked cars to take to Mexico and repair, then removing the plaques and sending them to accomplices back in the US to steal another of the same model/description.

I forgot in Europe the license plates stick with the car throughout its existence, so if you see a different plate on the back you’d assume it’s a different car
