It kills the click bait page view centric advertising model.

This is the goal. Use your information to make money with no benefit to you.

Which will in time mitigate the need for advertising space on websites. As long as AI stays ad-free, maybe the internet will be great again.

Wasn't this already true for those regurgitated clickbait SEO optimized pages that stole views away from the true original source?

I always click on a link to give them a click. But all my searches are technical and seeing the context inside the page is usually needed. So I'm not the general person.

Thanks to people who made the decision to push AI answers ahead of search results. AI is just a tool.

Thank goodness for search engines like startpage that still just gives you links and good results.
