Not just America, though, Germany is going in that direction as well right now and in Europe more and more of these voices are being heard.

GTA and by extension Rockstar is still riding the success of GTA 2 although purely on merit most of their titles have been very good actually.

I think in general you're right about this, but 'doing something' can be as simple as voting. The 'with us or against us' view is pretty much in a nutshell what the current state of political polarisation is.
Maybe I'm one of those passive centrists but I do believe a lot of the hot button issues contain a lot more nuance than outlets make it appear.
For instance, I believe Europe is facing a big immigration issue but that's mostly due to strong social programs making it an attractive destination for people who don't actually need asylum, those ruining it for those that do. But the right is using all immigrants as scapegoats for issues regarding housing and buy power. The left just argues for the humane treatment and tolerant attitude towards all.
And keep in mind that this is not the medium to do real public discussion like this so this is already a pretty flat way of reasoning, I could write 17 paragraphs of more nuance and what I do and don't agree with.
One unequivocal opinion I do have is that people in power have a way of steering public opinion in a way that benefits them and that none of us are immune to propaganda.
I've been making real strides in that area since my burn-out ended approximately a year ago. I joined a tennis club, I go fishing with a friend regularly, but there are still evenings I have little going on.
My comment wasn't necessarily meant as a cry for help or indicating I struggle a lot, I just hope others can identify this as a root cause to the 'why' of (excessive) alcohol consumption rather than trying to stop cold turkey and pretend there is no deeper issue.
Yeah most of the daily games actually drag after a while but this is actually very well thought out. Even if you really have a no clue (Africa is a bit of a blind spot for me) you can get away with general guesses.

True centrism doesn't really have a take on any issues. Trying to 'sound' centrist whilst you're not is always gonna be either watered down left wing of right wing stuff.
Also it's wholly possible for someone to be leftist on one issue (immigrants have the right to their best life anywhere in earth and wealthy countries have a duty to help people in need, for instance) while be right-wing on another (governments shouldn't interfere with the free market).
Mostly true centrist statements are like 'anyone should be able to believe or identify as anything they want without fear of prosecution' woth the added subtext of saying 'as long as they don't bother me with it'.
If I recall correctly, the original one required you to do that specific thing on Cinnabar Island to clone the first item on your list. The second one just required you to move Pokémon between boxes holding items. I did it for gimmick reasons a couple of times but I could enjoy the game without using glitches lots easier.
Pokémon Gold/Silver for sure. The QoL updates over Gen1 (RB) and 1.5 (Y) are just enough, although RBY was actually challenging at times GSC reduced the difficulty a tad. But the map is better, bunch of side quest options that aren't too grindey, good callback to Kanto. I haven't played the remakes but I'm sure they would be just as great.
I played the Brilliant Diamond one after not having played Pokémon for quite a while, played the gen3 ones on emulator a bit (Emerald in this case, quit when the difficulty was way too low until you got to the League, suddenly you actually had to work for it). Played Shield as well but didn't even really feel like a Pokémon game to me.
So yeah I'm a typical genwunner but I prefer the second gen games. Crystal was neat but I don't prefer it over Silver/Gold.
I tthink the essence of your comment is pretty much the essence of Hollywood as well. Anyone can make anything to offend anyone, as long as it's hugely profitable nobody cares and it's unlikely to influence public opinion or policy whatsoever.
Most consumers will just laugh at the funny guy on the screen without even linking the actor to Israel or US foreign policy.
Critics can go hard after the movie however much they want. Worst case scenario for the movie producers is that it's not hugely profitable. The next movie they put on the silver screen could be a documentary about a child in Gaza produced by a Russian without the audience even batting an eye.

I can sort of confirm that's how it works with me without having to harm rodents. Not so much loneliness but boredom. Just waiting out my time is excruciating but drinking makes it a bit more tolerable to do nothing by myself.
