Edit: the nuance I want to provide here is that if GTA VI is a really good game on its merit, there's nothing wrong with appreciating what those devs built. But fuck those marketing people.
Not an out-of-the-loop thing I think but my personal opinion is that people are way too easily influenced and they tend to pick up trends because they're trends, not on their merit. GTA and by extension Rockstar is still riding the success of GTA 2 although purely on merit most of their titles have been very good actually.
