The books are loaded with problematic shit, it's just the kids reading it didn't notice at the time.
If it's based on her work, it's problematic. If you strip all the problematic shit out, there's not really anything left to work with and they should use a different IP
I'll bite. I haven't read the books since I was a kid, but I'm struggling to find a ton of problematic shit. Yes, Cho Chang, I get that one. It's like she wrote an outline, wanted to include an Asian, and picked a terrible placeholder name, and forgot to replace it in the final and got stuck with it. And yeah, I'm probably forgetting stuff, so I'm all ears.
