This has been an unexpectedly amicable and mature resolution to a minor misunderstanding in an internet forum. Aren't we supposed to be lobbing insults, if not slurs, at each other by this point?
That's not really weird for American road sizes. If I had to guess that's more of a stroad with speeds around 64 km/h (40 mph), possibly officially 48 km/h (30 mph) with everyone doing 10 mph over the speed limit because the roads aren't designed to slow traffic to safe city speeds. Most of our roads are like this, and it's a contributor to our abhorrent pedestrian fatality rate.
